FOUNTAIN INN, S.C. (FOX Carolina) - The Fountain Inn Police Department reports SWAT was called to respond to a barricaded suspect on Monday.
Police said an officer tried to arrest a man with active warrants in a driveway on Case Lane around 12:30 p.m. The man placed a hand in his waistband as he ran into a house.
Officers report requesting the Greenville County Sheriff’s Office’s SWAT to respond. No one else was believed to be inside the house.
Jerry S. McDowell, 26, was taken into custody around 3 p.m., according to police.
Officers said McDowell was wanted for the following warrants in connection with an incident on Sept. 21:
Failure to stop for blue lights
Driving under suspension (Second Offense)
Operating a vehicle with a missing license plate
Additional charges are also pendi
