FARGO — Fargo first graders honored local veterans ahead of Veterans Day on Tuesday, Nov. 11.

The first grade class at Eagles Elementary School gave out patriotic artwork and thank-you notes at Touchmark Senior Living.

Touchmark is Eagles Elementary’s Adopt-a-School partner.

The students have been working on their communication skills, and meeting with veterans was the perfect opportunity to test them out.

The students’ teachers say they’ve also been learning about veterans leading up to the holiday.
