Katie the Wonder Puppy is not pleased with the switch backward to Standard Time. She is, however, a big fan of Daylight Saving Time. If she had her way, we would spring forward an hour every Saturday night.

Katie is a lunch bucket. When she was a puppy she was so tiny that we gave her three meals of puppy chow each day. And she liked the arrangement very much. She also grew quite quickly. You could say she filled out. Katie is still tiny for a cocker spaniel. But she is round.

We fed her at our mealtimes. It seemed like child abuse to eat in front of her, without her having her own bowl of puppy chow. We did not feed her from the table, exactly. But we did braise boneless, skinless chicken breasts for her as her reward treats.
