Paul Gascoigne has opened up about his friendship with Ricky Hatton following the pro-boxer's tragic death.
The boxer was found dead in his home in September, plunging the world of sport into mourning. Hatton, a larger-than-life figure in boxing, was laid to rest in Manchester Cathedral last month as thousands of people lined the streets to pay their respects.
An inquest into his death later revealed that he had been found hanged.
The 46-year-old was a huge Manchester City fan and his connections with football went further than just the Etihad Stadium, the Mirror reports. Hatton worked alongside former England star Gascoigne on a speaking tour, where the two sportsmen bonded over their similar personalities.
