A murder probe has been launched by police after a young man was fatally stabbed in broad daylight.

The 20-year-old victim was attacked around 12.50pm today (Monday, November 10), with emergency services rushing to the scene in St Ann's, Nottinghamshire.

Despite the best efforts of paramedics, the young man tragically died shortly after their arrival. The force has yet to confirm if any arrests have been made in connection with the incident.

Chief Superintendent Nick Waldram issued an appeal for witnesses and confirmed that a team of detectives are working "tirelessly" to bring those responsible to justice, reports Nottinghamshire Live .
