Shippensburg head football coach Mark Maciejewski announced Monday his plans to retire as head coach of football at the conclusion of the 2025 season.
Maciejewski has spent the past 32 years with his alma mater with this season marking his 15th as the head football coach.
“It has been a complete honor to have spent 32 years of my life in the Shippensburg University football family,” Maciejewski said in a press release. “I take a great deal of pride from my experiences as a player and coach – it has been a truly remarkable journey that has spanned five decades."
The longest-tenured head football coach in the PSAC cites his readiness to start the next chapter in his life as a reason for the sudden retirement.
