The No. 1 Knights (10-1) defeated the No. 9 Lakeland Hawks (9-2), 35-14, to advance to the 5A state semifinals last Friday at Westmark Stadium. After allowing an opening-drive touchdown, Hillcrest channeled its championship DNA and rattled off five consecutive touchdowns, cushioning itself all the way to a 35-7 advantage.
