ANNA MARIA ISLAND, Fla. ( WWSB ) - Construction is underway for the pier on Anna Maria after it was destroyed during last year’s hurricanes.
This is big news for Morgan Bryant, owner of Cool Beans A.M.I., as her business sits right in front of the pier.
“The ferry used to bring people over, and it would bring a lot of business, especially on the weekends. People would come walk through our shop and other businesses,” said Bryant.

Bryant is hoping construction won’t take too long as she’s ready to have her business flow back to normal.
“I’m hoping it won’t take too long. I mean, we don’t know how long it will be, but hopefully just because it’s just the walkway it won’t take too long,” said Bryant.
