GLASGOW, Ky. (WBKO) — Glasgow High School is offering something new this year: an FFA chapter and agriculture-related classes.

“We want to offer students the opportunity to learn through agriculture and FFA, especially because Barren County is such a large agriculture community,” said Mattea Wyatt, the school’s agriculture teacher.

Wyatt has returned to her hometown to lead the program, proudly wearing blue as she teaches students about agriculture.

She’s no stranger to these classes—she attended similar courses at Barren County High School, graduating in 2018, then went on to earn a degree from Murray State University.

After teaching in Tennessee and Christian County, she’s excited to bring her experience home.
