SAN ANTONIO — A man was shot and killed Monday evening in a shooting outside a north-side home, police said.

SAPD responded around 5:30 p.m. to a home in the 11200 block of Belair Drive after getting reports of gunfire.

According to police, a car allegedly drove by the house and shots were fired toward the residence. The person at the house then allegedly fired back.

Police say it is unclear what prompted the shooting or the connection between the two men.

The man in the vehicle was shot and later pronounced dead at the scene. Another man, believed to be in his 20s or 30s, was detained.

SAPD will be providing more information about this shooting later Monday night.
