SPOKANE, Wash. — As of Monday, Sarah Dixit continues to hold a narrow lead over incumbent Jonathan Bingle for the Spokane City Council District 1 seat. The two candidates are separated by only 156 votes, as of 4 p.m. on Nov. 10.

And according to the Spokane County elections website, all votes are accounted for.

Spokane County Auditor Vicky Dalton confirmed on Monday that the new results will not trigger an automatic recall under the state’s election rules.

To trigger a mandatory recount, the difference between the candidates must be less than half a percent. Dixit’s lead as of Monday is well over one percent.
