Summer isn't quite here yet, and a late spring chill is forecast to remind people of that in Australia's south-east in coming days.
Weatherzone said a cold air mass from the Southern Ocean was spreading across the region, with Melbourne at a "feels like" temperature of 5 degrees this morning, when the official temperature was a tick over 8 degrees.
Chill continues to grip the city, with an 11.4 degree temperature at about midday feeling like 7.6 degrees, the Bureau of Meteorology said.
Showers have also developed over the city.
Hobart, meanwhile, felt like it was below freezing at midday, with a temperature of 7 degrees.
