BIG COUNTRY, Texas (KTAB/KRBC) - As deportation efforts ramp up across the country, one Big Country family is speaking out. Jose Sanchez came to the U.S. in the 90s with his dad for work. Since then, he has established a family and a construction business, serving West Central Texas.

On October 23, Sanchez's life changed when he was involved in a minor vehicle incident at the Hamlin city dump. His daughter, Alondra Sanchez, said even though he was the victim of the situation, when the authorities arrived, he could not present American identification, causing him to be detained.
