ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – Vanderbilt Quarterback and Albuquerque's own, Diego Pavia, is earning national recognition after a stellar performance in an overtime, 45-38, victory over Auburn over the weekend. Pavia was named SEC Player of the week on Monday, but he also took home the AP Player of the week honor.
In the overtime victory over Auburn, Pavia finished with a career-high of 489 yards of total offense, while throwing for a career-high of 377 yards and rushing for 112. Pavia finished with four total touchdowns in the win, getting one on the ground and three through the air.
Pavia is now the first player from Vanderbilt since at least 1996 to finish with 100 yards rushing and 300 yards passing in a single game.
