ESSEX, Vt. (ABC22/FOX44) - Months after the Essex Development Review Board denied an application for an Amazon distribution facility to be built in the town, the town's Selectboard met and gave updates following Amazon's appeal on their decision to a state environmental court.

Community members and businesses opposed to the facility had called for people to attend the meeting and to make their voices heard, over concerns that board members would discuss the issue during executive session rather than out in the open.

The board did indeed vote to go into executive session at the end of Monday night's meeting.

That decision in July was 4-2 against approving the facility.
