Ullal police have arrested three persons, including a medical student, in connection with two separate drug peddling cases reported at Bagambila Ground in Kotekar village and Gandi in Permannur village on November 9.

Police seized a total of 1.511 kg of ganja valued at Rs 59,300, along with two weighing scales, two mobile phones, and a scooter allegedly used in the illegal trade.

One of the accused, Mohammad Nigarees (22), a resident of Dhule, Maharashtra, and a BAMS student at a private Ayurvedic college, had reportedly brought ganja from his hometown and sold it locally to fund a lavish lifestyle.
