The Red Fort blast didn’t just shake Delhi, it tore through its heart. When officials reached the site, they were met with a sight too grim to forget: a man’s body hanging from a tree, flung there by the sheer force of the explosion.

The blast was so powerful it hurled the victim off the ground, shattered street lights, and set vehicles ablaze in one of the most crowded stretches near the iconic monument.

The national capital has since been placed on high alert. The explosion near Gate No 1 of the Red Fort Metro Station on Monday evening left ten people dead and several injured. Eyewitnesses described scenes of chaos and fear as the ground trembled and fire engulfed nearby cars.
