The NPS announced a rescue at a popular U.S. national park, as accidents continue to rise while the U.S. shutdown drags on.
Since the shutdown began, several incidents have occurred across national parks nationwide. For instance, in late October, a climber was rescued while attempting to climb El Capitan in Yosemite National Park . Now, another visitor had to be rescued from another national park.
A few hours ago, Zion National Park published a post on Instagram announcing the rescue of a visitor who was canyoneering in Behunin Canyon. Luckily, the Zion Search and Rescue team immediately responded to the emergency call and was able to take the visitor to safety.
