The Kailasahar town, headquarter of the Unakoti district, is rocked by a fresh outbreak of Dengue as 46 patients have already been identified and 13 are undergoing treatment in hospital . A fear psychosis has gripped the people of the town and it outlying areas though there is no dearth of treatment and medicine for the disease. Speaking on the issue Dr Rohan Paul of the hospital said that Kailasahar is generally ‘more prone to Dengue than other areas of the state’ and Dengue tests are conducted throughout the year. He said that there are people who take Dngue medicine on their own without consulting doctors.

“We advise them to undergo Dengue tests from the subdivisional hospital or from the primary health centre ;taking medicine without test may involve risks of health” said Dr Rohan Pau
