Agartala, 11 th November 2025: Discipline continues to deteriorate at the state’s premier referral hospital, GB Hospital, as incidents of assaults and negligence keep surfacing.

There have been several complaints in the past — from attacks on doctors and nurses to patients’ families leaving the hospital in tears after failing to receive proper medical care.

The latest incident involves the assault of a doctor and a nurse on duty at GB Hospital.

Two individuals have been arrested in connection with the attack today. According to the officer-in-charge of NCC Police Station, a case was registered late Monday night based on a written complaint from the hospital authorities.
