Edinburgh locals were left awestruck after a huge Australian ferry was spotted in Leith.
On Monday morning, November 11, the Spirit of Tasmania V was pictured at the docks after it arrived over the weekend.
It's understood the ferry will remain in Leith until mid 2026 though the reason for its stay was unclear.
The Spirit of Tasmania is a ferry service that operates between mainland Australia and Tasmania, carrying passengers and vehicles. It takes a 242-nautical mile journey which lasts about 9-11 hours.
It comes after its sister ship, the Spirit of Tasmania IV left the capital in June and departed for Tasmania. The ferry was temporarily docked in Edinburgh after being built in Finland because it was too large for its intended ports down under.
