MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) - A man is recovering in the hospital after being hit by a vehicle Tuesday morning.

Just after 4 a.m., Memphis police say officers were flagged down by a driver who reported that a pedestrian was hit at the intersection of South Parkway East and Latham Street.

The man stated he was walking to a store when an unknown car hit him and drove away.

He was taken to the hospital in critical condition.

Police say no arrests have been made at this time.
