MONROE, La. (KNOE) - On Monday, Athletics director Trayvean Scott and head coach Mickey Joseph spoke to the media about how the team and school will be moving forward following the halftime brawl against Bethune-Cookman that occurred at the end of halftime in a game the Tigers won 31-23.
Grambling football is 7-3 on the season and has won four straight games to sit at 4-2 in SWAC play. However, this weekend’s game was overshadowed by a halftime brawl that saw players from both teams ejected from the game.
The brawl made national news, and some of Mickey Joseph’s comments sparked heated debate online.
The Southwestern Athletic Conference laid down punishment for both Grambling and Bethune-Cookman. Grambling received a $40,000 fine with 18 players being suspended for at least one game
