Assam: Youth Stabbed to Death Over Land Dispute

The deceased has been identified as Samsul Haque, while the accused have been identified as Rehman Ali and his son-in-law, Fazal Ali.

A young man was stabbed to death by another man over a long-standing land dispute in Assam’s Darrang district today.

The incident occurred in Utla Besimari village in Darrang.

The deceased has been identified as Samsul Haque, while the accused have been identified as Rehman Ali and his son-in-law, Fazal Ali.

As per inputs, there had been a long-standing dispute between the two parties over land and property.

Today, Samsul Haque was attacked with a sharp knife by Fazal Ali. In the attack, Samsul’s sister Jelima Begum also sustained injury. While Samsul died on the spot, his sister is now undergoing treatment at Gauhati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH)
