SAN ANGELO, Texas (Concho Valley Homepage) — An elevator malfunctioned at a San Angelo senior living community and trapped residents inside.

According to a social media post by the Roosevelt Lofts, one of their elevators malfunctioned and trapped two residents inside. The San Angelo Fire Department was called to assist in the situation.

The Roosevelt lofts stated that elevators are mechanical, and the new equipment has been tested by the State before opening.

"We take this incident very seriously and have the elevator service company on-site to evaluate the concern," said the Roosvelt Lofts. "Thank you for your concern, and we invite you to stop by anytime to discuss with us."
