AUGUSTA, Maine (WABI) - Among Veteran’s Day ceremonies going on around the state and country Tuesday, included one in the state’s capital.

It’s a tradition every year for the Togus VA Medical Center to hold an event honoring and remembering those who have served our country.

Community members joined faculty of Togus that included the Kennebec County Veterans Honor Guard, a laying of a wreath and more.

Those working at Togus spoke at the event about the specific qualities of Maine veterans and why they have continued their work in the military field at the VA.
