On Tuesday at 12:50 p.m. the National Weather Service issued a winter weather advisory in effect until Wednesday at 1 p.m. for Oswego County.

The weather service adds to expect, "Additional snow accumulations 4 to 7 inches in the most persistent lake snows. Winds gusting as high as 35 mph will create blowing and drifting snow."

"Travel will be difficult. The hazardous conditions will impact the Tuesday evening and Wednesday morning commutes," comments the weather service. "Lake effect snow will fall in relatively narrow bands. If traveling, be prepared for rapidly changing road conditions and visibilities."
