LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) - During a news conference on Nov. 11, 2025, Louisville mayor Craig Greenberg discussed taxpayer dollars and a mid-year budget adjustment, saying the city has roughly $17 million that can be moved around right now to fund everything from public safety improvements to affordable housing to parks and swimming pools.
“Expectations are high, and they should be. Accountability is high, and it should be. So, when it comes to how we manage our budget, we have to deliver,” Greenberg said. “When making this proposal, we listen to a lot of people on Metro, we listen to Metro Council people, we listen to the community.”
Mayor Greenberg said he is proposing the adjustments “to continue investing in the city’s highest priorities.”
