LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) - The city of Louisville is looking for an artist to turn the 260-foot wall located in the underpass on Main Street between Hancock and Jackson Streets into a large mural.
The underpass has already been fitted with LED lights for a colorful path that connects NuLu and downtown.
Applications for artists will open on Saturday, Nov. 15, and will continue through Monday, Dec. 15.
The theme, “Bridging Louisville,” envisions weaving together the stories of Downtown’s past and present with those of adjacent neighborhoods to create a visual bridge that celebrates shared identity and history.
All artists must be over 18 years old, or have a team member over the age of 18. Artists must reside within 200 miles of Louisville and must have experience with large-scale outdoor
