NORRISTOWN — A Lower Pottsgrove Township man faces six years of court supervision, including a period of house arrest, for illegally possessing five firearms, a crime discovered as police investigated a report of gunfire outside his home.

Larry Boggs, 68, of the unit block of Pebble Beach Lane, was sentenced in Montgomery County Court to six years of restrictive probation after he pleaded guilty to a felony charge of person not to possess firearms in connection with a Jan. 22, 2025, incident at his residence.

Judge Wendy G. Rothstein, who accepted a plea agreement in the case, said the first 11½ months of the probationary term must be served under house arrest. That means Boggs will have to wear an electronic ankle monitor and will be permitted to leave his home only for court-approved p
