SARASOTA, Fla. (WWSB) - The winter weather we have been shivering through is coming to an end. Look for a cool start on Thursday with warmer weather moving in during the afternoon.
It will still be cool with highs in the low to mid 70s by mid afternoon which is still 8 degrees below average.
This morning’s low was 44 degrees well below the average of 61º and only 3 degrees off of tying a record low. Thursday we start the day with temperatures near 50 with some upper 40s east of I-75.
The warm-up will continue on Friday and last through the weekend with highs on Saturday and Sunday near 80 degrees!
Now the drought continues to worsen for our entire area and a high fire danger will stick around a while. Unfortunately the long range forecast models do not show any significant rain heading
