Parts of Minnesota were treated to another spectacular night of northern lights, though the Twin Cities didn't see a repeat of Tuesday's show.
Tuesday brought a G4 geomagnetic storm that saw the aurora borealis observed as far south as El Salvador, with residents even in the light pollution-filled Twin Cities getting a rare glimpse of the phenomenon from their back yards.
There were more spectacular scenes on Wednesday, though the strongest auroral activity stayed a bit further north, with Wednesday's geomagnetic storm expected to be at G2 or G3 level instead of Tuesday's G4 (out of 5).
As such, the Twin Cities didn't get quite the same experience that Tuesday brought, but there were still lights visible
