New Mexico once again had the opportunity to witness the northern lights, also known as the aurora borealis.

One viewer in the photo above could see the glowing light in the Rio Rancho night sky on Wednesday, Nov. 12. Some have noticed a glow but many said it doesn't appear to be as impressive as the night before.

Clouds are one obstacle disrupting some people's view in the Land of Enchantment. New Mexico State University astronomy professor Jason Jackiewicz said the Tuesday sighting may have a once-in-a-lifetime event for the state.
