MACON, Ga. — A Macon bar run out of a Unionville house is permanently closed, following a complaint filed by the City of Macon-Bibb.

That complaint paints a picture of noise complaints, alcohol offenses, and criminal activity at 626 Carnation Street, otherwise known as the "Bootleg". Sheriff David Davis calls the house a serious issue.

"We've been out there over 30 times just this year, so that is certainly a chronic nuisance," Davis said.

According to the complaint, in addition to those responses, there were also over 50 calls to law enforcement this year alone, with complaints of loud noises, drugs, and alcohol violations at the property.
