Actor James Van Der Beek is parting with cherished memorabilia from his career to help pay medical bills as he battles stage 3 colorectal cancer , auctioning items from "Dawson's Creek" and "Varsity Blues" through a London-based auction house.
Van Der Beek, 48, is teaming with Propstore to auction props and wardrobe from his television and film work, with all proceeds going to his medical fees, according to People magazine. The items will go on sale through Propstore's Winter Entertainment Memorabilia Live Auction , which runs from Dec. 5 to Dec. 7.
"I've been storing these treasures for years, waiting for the right time to do something with them, and with all of the recent unexpected twists and turns life has presented recently, it's clear that the time is now," Van Der Beek told People
