Indian shuttler Lakshya Sen advanced to the quarterfinals of the men’s singles at the Japan Masters 2025 with a commanding straight-games victory over Singapore’s Jia Heng Jason Teh.
Seeded seventh, Lakshya needed just 39 minutes to secure a 21-13, 21-11 win.
The 2021 World Championship bronze medallist, currently ranked World No. 15, will next face former world champion Loh Kean Yew of Singapore in the quarterfinals.
Lakshya started steadily, moving ahead 8-5 in the opening game before Teh briefly led 10-9. The Indian regained control at the break and, at 14-13, unleashed a decisive run of seven consecutive points to close the game.
