MURRYSVILLE, Pa. —

Two vehicles were involved in a crash on Route 22 in Murrysville, Westmoreland County, on Thursday morning.

The crash happened a little before 6:30 a.m. in the westbound lanes near Buena Vista Drive. Advertisement

According to emergency responders, a driver of one of the vehicles was killed and four other people were taken to Forbes Hospital.

The man who died has been identified as 72-year-old John Howard. Further information about those who were injured has not been released.

Traffic was restricted in the area while emergency responders were on scene.
