A Pokémon card could bag you enough cash to buy a two-bed terraced house - as a rare first-edition fetched £125,000. Fan-favourite Charizard, dubbed 'the Holy Grail' of Pokémon cards from the original 1999 set, secured one eBayer in Great Yarmouth, Norfolk, the staggering sum last month.

According to Rightmove, there are a total of 49 terraced houses listed in Great Yarmouth for £125,000 or less - meaning the buyer could've bought one outright for the price of a single Pokémon card. Charizard cards are extremely popular among collectors and dealers, which has made them very expensive on the secondary market, particularly if they are well-preserved or an early print.
