CHICO, Calif. - College athletes gained the ability to transfer schools multiple times while remaining eligible to compete in the 2023-24 academic year. This rule has dramatically changed the landscape of college sports.
The transfer portal and Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) opportunities have given players newfound freedom and leverage in their decisions. However, this frequent movement of players presents challenges for coaches.
