A nutritional supplement made in India and sold in the United States has been recalled because it has been linked to a salmonella outbreak.
The U.S. Food and Drug Administration said 11 people have been sickened by moringa leaf powder in seven states.
African Imports , based in New Jersey, has recalled organic moringa leaf powder in a 1-kilogram box that was sold nationwide through the company’s website.
All organic moringa leaf powder purchased after June 5, 2025, is included in this recall.
The company said it was informed that some of the powder “has tested positive for salmonella.”
Earlier this month, Member’s Mark Super Greens Powder sold at Sam’s Club stores nationwide and online was recalled for the same issue.
