MIDWOOD — A LATE-NIGHT GATHERING at Avenue J and Bay Parkway has sparked concern after cars performed high-speed donuts in the intersection, drawing a large crowd and alarming nearby residents, reports News 12 .
The incident occurred in the early morning hours over the weekend, according to neighbors who said they were woken by screeching tires and fireworks. Residents reported seeing multiple vehicles circling the intersection while participants stood in the roadway, some hanging out of car windows as drivers spun at high speed.
“It looked like someone could have gotten killed,” said local resident Lynda Levy, who described the scene as “extremely scary.”
