SIOUX CITY (KTIV) - An Iowa man who reportedly distributed drugs in Sioux City for years will spend at least two decades in prison.
According to a press release from the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of Iowa, 46-year-old Justin Derby, of Sioux City, was sentenced on Thursday, Oct. 16 to more than 20 years in federal prison.
Federal authorities say Derby pleaded guilty on May 22, 2025, to the following:
one count of conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine
one count of possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine
one count of possession of a firearm by a prohibited person
one count of possession of a firearm in furtherance of a drug trafficking crime.
