CHARLESTON, WV (LOOTPRESS) – West Virginia Governor Patrick Morrisey announced Thursday that SNAP recipients in the state can expect to receive their full November benefits as early as Thursday, or Friday at the latest.
“As of today or first thing tomorrow, all of the SNAP recipients will have full November benefits on their card,” Morrisey said during his remarks at the West Virginia Energy Summit.
SNAP recipients nationwide did not receive their benefits on November 1 due to the recent federal government shutdown. The reopening of the government Wednesday night allowed the distribution of benefits to resume.
Morrisey expressed gratitude for the community response during the disruption.
