A Paducah man was arrested with drugs and a stolen gun after a traffic stop on Tuesday.

Paducah Police stopped a vehicle driven by 44-year-old Lewis J. Boyd of Paducah after witnessing a traffic violation near 21st and Monroe. A Police K-9 alerted officers to the possibility of drugs in the vehicle. A search is said to have uncovered hydrocodone and a handgun. The gun was found to have been reported stolen back in 2017.

Boyd was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance and receiving stolen property in the form of a handgun.
