The Flying Pig Marathon is one of the city's best-loved annual events, but it's also one of its most reliable economic engines.
This past year's marathon brought an estimated $45.9 million in total economic impact to the region. The number comes from a report from the Center for Research and Data at the Cincinnati USA Regional Chamber. Advertisement
According to the study, the race weekend helped support 671 jobs and generated $15.2 million in earnings for residents in the region.
The marathon event drew in more than 51,000 participants, including 17,000 from outside the region.
