NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) - In the aftermath of the longest federal government shutdown in history, the Tennessee Department of Human Services is prompting people who receive SNAP benefits to check in with the state’s dashboard to track their benefits.

The state runs ebtEDGE, which offers both a browser dashboard and a mobile app, which allow those who receive benefits to track how much they’re getting and when they’ll get it.

The portal allows people to check:

Their card’s balance

Transaction history

Freeze card transactions

Along with other tools like changing the card’s PIN and blocking out-of-state transactions.
