CLINTON, Tenn. (WVLT) - Non-teacher staff in Anderson County will be getting hefty bonuses as part of a move to remedy Gov. Bill Lee’s “unjust and discouraging” private school voucher bonus system.

The Anderson County Board of Education approved the motion Monday, outlined in a letter from Director of Schools Dr. Tim Parrot. In the letter, Parrot bashed the state’s bonus program because it only offered money to classroom teachers, not staff like teacher assistants, janitors or cafeteria workers.
