Tory Lanez‘s conviction for shooting Megan Thee Stallion has been upheld after losing his appeal.
The Canadian rapper, who is currently serving a 10-year sentence over the 2020 incident, saw his appeal get rejected on Wednesday (November 12) by the appellate court, who found “no errors” in his conviction nor his sentence.
In their 46-page ruling, the judges concluded that the testimony was “more than sufficient to support the jury’s finding that [Tory Lanez] personally inflicted great bodily injury on [Megan Thee Stallion].”
Tory (real name Daystar Peterson) made a number of claims in his appeal, including that evidence was improperly admitted, prosecutors engaged in misconduct during the 2022 trial and the jury was improperly instructed.
