THE TWO Tamworth targets allegedly behind a drug and firearms ring will spend Christmas in custody as prosecutors press ahead with the case against them.
Sharon Kelly, also known as Sharon Strudwick, and Stephen Ross Hanshaw did not appear in Tamworth Local Court this week for their combined 17 charges.
The couple have been behind bars since a secret squad of police swooped on them in a Lorraine Street unit in June.
Defence solicitor Peter Anderson said his client, Kelly, remained in custody and "was not required on the screen".
Police prosecutor Sergeant Carlton Kopke said his "instructions are the brief is compliant", and the case was pressing ahead.
He said a slightly longer adjournment was needed to confirm the charges against Kelly because "it takes into account obviously the C
