The Arkansas Department of Human Services announced Thursday that full Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program benefits for November will be available as early as midnight.
Officials cited a revised guidance from the U.S. Department of Agriculture issued earlier in the day permitting the full delivery of benefits, the federal agency having previously directed states to issue 65% of maximum allotments through the use of contingency funds.
The state department “immediately began internal processes” to begin distributing benefits to SNAP recipients, according to a news release, with cards expected to be loaded “late tonight into tomorrow.”
